All GP practices are required to declare the mean earnings (e.g. average pay) for GPs working to deliver NHS services to patients at each practice. The average pay for GPs working in Belmont Medical Centre in the last financial year was £44,479 before tax and National Insurance. This is for 2 full time GPs and 2 Locum GPs who worked in the practice for more than six months.

Welcome to Belmont Medical Centre, where you and your family can expect the best care and attention from our Doctors, Nurses and all of our staff.

We work as a team to provide all our patients' comprehensive accessible care, looking after you in times of illness and supporting you to make healthier choices to help you lead a healthier life.

We aim to make all patients feel welcome and comfortable.  Our staff treats all patients with courtesy and respect at all times.

All staff have to sign a confidentiality statement and the Practice is registered under the Data Protection Act.

Named Accountable GP for all Patients

You may be aware that all GP Practices are now required to provide their patients with a 'named accountable GP'.

The GP contract requires the named accountable GP to take responsibility for the co-ordination of all appropriate services required under the contract and ensure that they are delivered to each of their patients where required (based on the clinical judgement of the named accountable GP).

All of our patients here at Belmont Medical Centre, including children, now have a named GP who is responsible for their overall care. Patients will be notified when they contact the Surgery, on repeat medication slips and by text or e-mail where available.

Please note that this does NOT prevent you from seeing any GP of your choice in the practice as you currently do now, and you are unlikely to see any notable change in the way care is delivered to you by us.
